Summary: We were visiting Casablanca on a port stop with Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady and decided to skip the cruise excursions and book a private tour instead — and we’re so glad we did! Our driver and guide, Younes, was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. He communicated with us easily via WhatsApp and met us right on time at United Nations Square. From the very beginning, he was warm, professional, and accommodating. Even though the morning started out foggy, Younes adjusted our route so we could visit scenic spots later in the day once the weather cleared. Throughout the tour, we saw all the major sights — Notre Dame Church, Mohammed V Square, a lively food market, a colorful bazaar, and of course, the stunning Hassan II Mosque, which was the highlight of the day. Younes handled all the logistics perfectly — finding parking, picking us up right where we finished, and making sure we never had to worry about a thing. He gave us the freedom to explore at our own pace and even offered great local advice on what to eat and drink in the markets. At the end of the tour, he dropped us off at a lovely restaurant and even suggested a nearby bar for a drink. He told us he’d be happy to continue the tour if we wanted, but it was the perfect spot to relax before catching our shuttle back to the ship. To top it off, we realized we had left a bag of souvenirs in his car while we were having lunch. We called him, and without hesitation, Younes came back to return it — such a kind and thoughtful gesture! Younes truly went above and beyond to make our day in Casablanca memorable and stress-free. If you’re visiting this city — especially on a cruise stop — we highly recommend booking a private tour with Younes. You’ll experience Casablanca like a local, at your own pace, with an amazing guide who genuinely cares about your experience.
